Art makes ME happy!  That's the bottom line.  Once I realized this the confidence was fostered to just do it.  If someone liked it, great.  If someone didn't like it, great!  I don't care, because IT MAKES ME HAPPY!  I am having fun.  I am developing different skills, learning different mediums, experimenting and I am loving it.  It's like cooking!  NOT BAKING!  Baking you need to follow the recipes and not deviate....(funny because I love baking and I hate cooking)  Cooking, allows you freedom to try a little of this and a little of that and VOILA, you created something delicious and it warms the soul.  Well that is what I am finding.  I can cook all I want in the studio.  I'm adding a little of this and trying a pinch of that and VOILA, I have something beautiful that warms my soul.  Of course its an added benefit when others appreciate it and like it but it's ok if you don't.  IT MAKES ME HAPPY!
